Alex graduated on Friday night. She graduated #1 in her class and she got to wear the High Honor Roll Chords and then her National Honor Society Collar. They don't get to keep their collars or chords because apparently they are pretty expensive so the School just loans them out for the ceremony to the kids. The kids were all wishing they could keep them... lol. They give them empty diplomas so that they kids can basically sit where they want and then they just give a card with their name to the announcer as they go down(they pretty much all just sat where they had been practicing all week). Anyway, we got a funny pic with the empty diploma holders. It was a nice program and it was crazy to see our girly graduate... even made the daddy cry. She looked beautiful.
After the graduation they had games and food at the High School until midnight for the Seniors and then at midnight they had rented out the local movie theater and the Seniors got to watch Night at the Museum 2. They got in free but if some of the younger kids wanted to go with them then they just had to pay their way in, so Alex stopped by and got Kotah and took him to the movie with her. After that, they made the Seniors breakfast over at the College and had drawings for prizes. Alex won a 2 GB jump drive. But, more than anything it was a fun time for them and the Administration was there the whole time at all of the activities for the night and so there wasn't any bad situations like earlier in the week.
Alex and her best friend, Tara before Graduation...
aren't they pretty?

Hats off to Class of 2009
Kelly is funny... showing off her High Honor Chords
This is the funny pic I mentioned in my post...
"What??? Where are our Diplomas?" lol
Alex and Ellen... she has been a huge help to Alex in
helping her with Miss Ephraim this year and she is also
like a 2nd mom to both of our kids. They just love her!
Yay! We are graduated!!! Alex is the one farthest to
the left.
Alex is again on the far left...
This is so cool and it is only a small portion of what
was there. The Principal of the School believes it is
all about the students and so he always takes pictures
and puts them up in the office and he always acknowledges
their accomplishments. So, all the way down the hall way
he set up this display of the accomplishments of this Class.
It was AMAZING and so nice!
So, I played with Kel's camera settings... ALL BY
ACCIDENT, of course! And so this pic didn't turn out
as good as it definitely should have. He has to go and
figure out what I did and fix it...YES, I am in trouble... lol!
2 sweet nothins:
Good job Alex~~~
Congrats, looks like a fun filled day.
