Standing in line at 5:00 a.m. so you can get a tree permit... CRAZY? Probably, but it's tradition for us and usually a couple of us will go and one will keep the car warm and the other will stand in line... and then take turns back and forth. We make a thermos of Hot Cocoa and off we go. After we get our permit, Kelly and the kids like to take that time together to go and pick out the tree. I usually have the Hot Cocoa and Soup ready for them when they get back. We like our tree to be tall, skinny, and have a few holes in it's branches so that our glass garland and glass ornaments will be able to hang and glisten in the light. Kelly did 1500 lights and garland and we did the rest. Think a bit victorian and there you have our tree. I love it!
